Frequently Asked Questions

Of course you have questions about starting therapy!

Below you will find some of the most common questions I get asked regularly. If your questions do not get answered, feel free to reach out via email or schedule a consultation to get your questions answered.

  • Are you accepting new clients?
Unfortunately I am not currently accepting clients at this time. I do have a waitlist. Feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss the waitlist or get referrals to therapists I know and trust!
  • Are you seeing clients in person or telehealth?
I am currently seeing clients exclusively online via a secure telehealth platform. Therapy online is confidential and convenient, allowing me to see clients throughout California and Oregon.
  • What are your fees? Do you accept insurance?
These are great questions! Click here for information about my fees and why I do not take insurance.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards are accepted, as well as HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of session. Your credit card will be stored securely in the client portal, making paying for therapy very easy.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
If given at least a 24 hour notice of cancellation, there is no charge to cancel a session. If a cancellation occurs within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment, the full rate of the session will be charged. No shows will also be charged at the full rate.
  • I see you are based out of San Diego. Do you see clients outside of that area?
Yes! I am licensed to practice in the states of California and Oregon. Since I see clients virtually, I can see clients throughout either state.
  • Are babies allowed in sessions?
Definitely! I am a perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) therapist, after all! Your baby is always welcome in our sessions. You are welcome to feed your baby, interact with your baby, and tend to your baby's needs during our session time. I know it's not easy to find childcare for our sessions together, and I do not want that to be a barrier in you getting the care that you deserve. A lot of the work I do involves healing from traumatic experiences, and many clients feel more comfortable finding childcare for these sessions so they can truly focus on the work during our time together. This is something we can discuss further at our first appointment.
  • Do you only see women who are pregnant or postpartum in your practice?
Great question. Although I specialize in perinatal and maternal mental health, I am happy to see anyone who may be in a different season of life (outside of family building) and feels like a good fit!
